Dr Horst Karl Poehlmann graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Erlangen (Germany) in 1969 with a PhD from said university in a cancer related topic. In his day he was a licenced GP in Germany, UK and Austria.

He worked as an anaesthetist, has been the head of the department of internal medicine and was also employed as a doctor in an Australian hospital. 

To call him a naturopath is like calling a cow on a plane a bird.
